switching playlists problem

    i'm on mac os 10.3.8.

i've just downloaded synergy, and it's a vast improvement over itunes alone. i might actually listen to my music now!

i've found one glitch i think: switching playlists always brings itunes to the front. i'd rather it didn't.

i see there is a toggle button that lets you bring itunes to the front whenever playlists are switched. the problem is, that button isn't checked, and itunes always comes to the front.

this seems contrary to what the toggle button ought to achieve, no?

how can i get itunes to stay in the background when switching playlists?

Try hiding iTunes instead of closing its window or minimizing it to the Dock. Then it won't come to the front. See this bug report (sounds like a Mac OS X/iTunes bug):

sweet. thanks for your help Wincent.

minimizing itunes to the dock doesn't work, but hiding itunes does.

    thanks again!
