A few bugs in 1.0a2

These are just minor bugs so it's not "mission critical" that these get fixed or anything :P first, if you go into the "Menu Bar" tab and move the mouse under the sentense that begins "Access the Synergy Global menu..." and hover there for a few seconds it will show a tooltip of an option that's not there. Same thing happens when you go into the "Advanced" tab and hover under the "Bring iTunes to front..." option.

Been looking forward to the Synergy update since Panther's arrival. Have installed 1.0a2, but after three forced reboots I've had to turn it off. My system was stable until I reinstalled Synergy, I don't know whether any testing's been done with systems running ApeManager and Fruitmenu, but I'd suspect they're not happy running together. The only other additions to my system are iChoose (a url menu) and iKey (a cheaper version of Quickkeys/Kaleidoscope) - neither of which I'd expect to cause trouble and haven't to date. Any thoughts welcome. Cheers, 11V (enquiries@eleventhvolume.com)

I'd be grateful if you could do two things...

Firstly, try adding Synergy to the "exclude list" for those APE things you mentioned... the actual Synergy.app is stored inside the Synergy.prefPane bundle, so you'll have to "Show package contents" on the prefPane, navigate to "Synergy.prefPane/Contents/Resources/Synergy.app" and drag that into the exclusion list...

Secondly, check out this bug report where a user is seeing high mach port usage. It would be helpful to know whether you are seeing the same problem, or a different one...

I've excluded Synergy in APE Manager and looked at the report you pointed to - the symptoms seem the same as mine, though I'm no programmer or OS expert so can't follow the detail. I'm running 10.3.2 on a Powerbook 667. I've started up Synergy and will post again if the symptoms reappear. Cheers 11V (enquiries@eleventhvolume.com)

Symptoms persist - sudden logout/bluescreen when choosing to do simple Finder task. Have had to turn off Synergy.

Unfortunately these anecdotal reports aren't really sufficient to indicate either the cause of the problem, or a possible solution. If you are able to provide more concrete detailed information; crash logs, system profiler reports, exact steps to reproduce etc. then we might be able to do something about this.
