Install Issue on Windows: couldn'the find ruby.h

  1. Nick Carter

Just a warning up front, I'm fairly new to vim itself.

I've got a few plugins running just fine on both macvim at home and gvim (win32) on Windows at work. In trying to install Command T, I tried the newer versions of ruby before falling back on 1.8.7.x which it seems to be built for. That's fine, I'm not using ruby at the moment anyway.

However, I'm hitting a "couldn't find ruby.h (required)" message now (no other messages from extconf.rb), and I'm not really sure where to go with this. I installed the dev kit to the same directory as this version of ruby.

See thist post, it helped me. Make sure you have all the steps done correctly plus you run the devkitvars.bat script.
