Storing covers for iPod photo

I understand Apple's way of storing covers in each track is wasteful of space, but since the iPod photo only works with photos stored this way, will Synergy gain an option to store covers in tracks, to support the iPod photo, and a way to migrate already-downloaded covers from ~/Library/Application Support/Synergy/Album Covers/ into the tracks themselves?
