Can't disable 'Playing...' pop-up!?

I'm demoing Synergy 3.0 right now and really like the idea of it but am having a problem - I want to disable the pop up notifier that says "Playing [song name]'. I prefer the elegance of the simple track listing notification.
It seems, from going through the preferences, that this should be disabled by deselecting the 'Extra Visual Feedback' option. Am I not interpretting this correctly?

k so I solved this one myself, sorry. I had to disable Synergy's 'iTunes Update' notification in the Growl prefpane.

Yes, that's right. There are two kinds of notifications: those provided from within Synergy itself (the Floater), and those routed via Growl. And it only makes sense to have one of these possibilities enabled at any given moment.
