Album art in Shared Music

I store album art in my ID3v2 tags, but when I listen to shared music synergy advance doesn't seem to be picking up the cover art. In iTunes, when getting info on a shared song you don't see the artwork, but it does show up in the artwork box (I presume it gets this from the ID3 tag). Can/does synergy advance look in the ID3 tag?

    Thanks, Erik

Somebody has already made a feature request about this for Synergy:

In the case of Synergy Advance, it isn't looking directly in the ID3 tag; rather it's just asking iTunes for the album art. I strongly recommend that you submit a feature request to Apple about making the art available via AppleScript:

I do plan to add support for extracting art from ID3 tags, but even that won't help in the case of shared music, because Synergy Advance won't have access to the file or the tags (the audio is being streamed over the network to iTunes).

There'll also be some pretty severe limitations on the ability of Synergy Advance to extract tag information, because more and more files nowadays are not MP3s but are encoded in other formats (AAC, MP4, .m4a, .m4p etc) and right now I don't know much about those formats, and the protected formats (ie. tracks purchased on the iTunes Music Store) most likely won't allow the art to be extracted anyway.
